Because of CheatZILLA's long history it has amassed a large database of codes for many older systems. As times have changed the old codes have not been forgotten. The audience has evolved and now includes many users that are into the retro-gaming phenomenon.

In order to make cheats more accessible CheatZILLA has added direct support for ZSNES style .CHT files. Now when you do a search for cheats you can not only do conversions between Game Genie, Pro Action Replay, and Gold Finger, but you can directly download a file that contains these binary cheats.

The .CHT is automatically generated for each download. This means that as cheat codes are added and modified on CheatZILLA the downloadable CHT file will always be up-to-date. You don't have to try to insert or delete codes yourself. Whenever you see a new cheat added to a game you play, just throw out your old CHT file and download a fresh copy!

The codes that are in the CHT file are toggled OFF initially. This is because of the amount of cheats for most games and it's most likely that you will only want to enable a few at a time. Once the CHT file is loaded in ZSNES it is a simple matter to click each cheat and toggle it ON or OFF. (If you need help with this, please see this article.) When working with multi-part codes the description will end with PT1, PT2, etc. Make sure that you enable or disable all parts, otherwise strange side effects could occur.
